IRAQ: MNF Check Point Hit With Mortars

/noticias.info/ Camp Babylon, Iraq -- A Multi-National Force check point near As Suwayrah on the road from Al Kut to Baghdad, was attacked by anti-Iraqi force militants Oct. 27 with mortars.
Ten mortar grenades impacted the ground around the check point, but when Multi-National Force personnel returned fire, the attack ceased. There were no injuries to MNF-I or Iraqi security forces and no damage to equipment or structures.
Multi-National Force-Iraq personnel support the Iraqi Interim Government and Iraqi security forces in their vision for a free, secure and prosperous Iraq, to eliminate anti-Iraqi forces -- terrorists, insurgents, criminals and thugs -- from the sovereign country of Iraq.
