BUSH vs. KERRY: Bush Set To Carry Virginia
/noticias.info/ (CPOD) Oct. 28, 2004 – George W. Bush could carry the state of Virginia in the 2004 United States presidential election, according to a poll by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc. 50 per cent of respondents would vote for the Republican incumbent, while 44 per cent would support Democratic nominee John Kerry.
Five per cent of respondents are undecided. Support for both Bush and Kerry increased by one per cent since September. The election is scheduled for Nov. 2.
Bush won Virginia’s 13 electoral votes in 2000, with 52 per cent of all cast ballots. No Democrat has carried the state since Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964.
