BUSH vs. KERRY: In New Mexico, Bush Remains On Top
/noticias.info/ (CPOD) Oct. 28, 2004 – George W. Bush holds the lead in the state of New Mexico, according to a poll by Zogby International. 48 per cent of respondents would vote for the Republican incumbent in the 2004 United States presidential election, while 43 per cent would support Democratic nominee John Kerry.
Three per cent of respondents would vote for another candidate, while six per cent remain undecided. The election is scheduled for Nov. 2.
New Mexico’s five electoral votes went to Democrat Al Gore in the 2000 election, who defeated Bush by 366 ballots. No Republican has carried the state since George H. Bush in 1988.
