UEFA Champions League: Sheriff bolster European ambitions

Romanian raid
Romanian midfield players Viorel Dinu and Cristian Ionescu have joined from AFC Rapid Bucuresti, while 19-year-old defender Ibrahim Gnanou moves to the club from his native Burkina Faso.

Sliema showdown
Gnanou is a full international and becomes the third African to join the club following the winter purchases of Soumaila Tassembedo and Ben Idrissa Derme. Sheriff take on Sliema Wanderers FC in their Champions League first qualifying round first leg on 12 July. notas_de_prensa_archivo
