LIVERPOOL FC: TNS HOT-SHOT GUNNING FOR THE REDS
/noticias.info/ The most prolific marksman in the history of Welsh club football has admitted he would gladly swap all of his previous goals for one against Liverpool in the forthcoming Champions League qualifier.
TNS hot-shot Marc-Lloyd Williams has netted over 200 times in the Welsh Premier League but all of them would be overshadowed if he could hit the back of the net in either of the two legs against the Reds.
Like many of his team-mates, 32-year old Williams is a Liverpool fan and, not surprisingly he's excited at the prospect of playing against his heroes.
"Like a lot of the lads at TNS, I support Liverpool," he says. "This is the biggest game I've played in and the thought of playing Liverpool makes the hairs on the back of your neck stick up.
"I used to stand on the Kop dreaming of running out at Anfield as a Liverpool player. Just to go back there now, at 32, and play against the European champions is unbelievable. I thought my time had passed.
"It's unbelievable. It's hard not to talk about it but we know we've got to go there and do a professional job. It's important we don't disgrace ourselves, not just for the club but also for the league which has its critics."
Williams bagged 34 goals for the Welsh minnows last season and he adds: "Obviously it would be amazing to score at Anfield, but even a goal in the return at Wrexham would do for me.
"We're under no illusions about the size of the task as Liverpool are the kings of Europe. They have a strong defence and will be a tough nut to crack but it would be nice to nick a goal." notas_de_prensa_archivo
