EVERTON: BLUES BREED WINNER
/noticias.info/ Reserve team manager Andy Holden believes that in young striker James Vaughan Everton are bringing through the youth ranks a born winner.
The striker, who celebrates his 17th birthday on Thursday, has been under the watchful eye of the Blues' coach during the few days in Austria as well as being under his wing back home at Bellefield.
Vaughan, who broke four records when he scored his first goal against Crystal Palace last season, has shot quickly through the youth ranks at Goodison and is now a regular in training with the senior pros.
Holden feels that he deserves the chance to train amongst his peers because of the determination and commitment he shows each time he crosses the white line.
He told evertonfc.com form the Blues base in Austria: "He wants to be first in training all the time and he's got that winning breed in him and long may it continue.
"That is something that you just cannot coach, that's got to come from within."
But whilst Holden is enjoying looking at the progress Vaughan is making and wanting him to push on, he is urging everyone to remember that he still has a lot to learn.
"Everyone must remember that he is still a very young boy," he continued.
"The records he got for himself are all because he is such a young boy and he's got a massive amount still to learn.
"He is a level-headed boy and I watch him every day in training and the main thing you can say about James Vaughan is that he's a winner." notas_de_prensa_archivo
