EVERTON: MOYES: A DECENT RUN OUT
/noticias.info/ David Moyes was satisified with what his squad of players achieved in their opening pre-season friendly - although he would have liked a bigger result.
The Blues overcame their Austrian opposition with the consumate ease, strolling to a 9-0 victory over FC Gamlitz.
Marcus Bent opened the scoring on 21 minutes before strike partner James Beattie added the second from the penalty spot following a foul on debutant Per Kroldrup.
That ensured the Blues went in at the break 2-0 up with Moyes believing that the advantage should have maybe been greater.
He told evertonfc.com: "All the boys went abot their job fine.
"It took us until the second half to get the goals we wanted though if we had taken our chances we would have scored more.
"But it was what we wanted. It gave the players an hour running around."
After the break it took just minutes for substitute Lawrence Wilson to add a third before a hat-trick from James Vaughan plus strikes from Paul Hopkins, Victor Anichebe and Kroldrup.
Moyes continued:"We wanted all the boys to get a touch and we are grateful to the side we played today for giving us that opportunity.
"It was warm today, so they got a good sweat on.
"We were also able to get the younger players on and it was nice to see them get some of the goals." notas_de_prensa_archivo
