/noticias.info/ Pippo Inzaghi is ready to get back to action and is going through a recovery programme which will finally enable the Rossoneri fans to see what the striker does best: causing defences problems, scoring goals in front of them and in the end, just playing again. Superpippo has been through a lot of misfortune but his determination and character won over the fans and sceptics when he first arrived at the club. It was the goals that did it. In his second season with the club, in 2002-03, Inzaghi netted 30 goals - a number of which were very important. We all remember, above all, his goal against Ajax, of course. A dark period began from October 2003 in which he suffered a long series of injuries which kept Pippo away from the pitch. He injured his neck in a clash with Perugia goalkeeper Kalac. He came back for two weeks but in January was out for another month with a calf injury. Then at the end of April there was an operation to remove bone from his left ankle which kept him out of EURO 2004. Pippo had to have another operation in Antwerp on November 8, 2004 on the same ankle. He came back for the Italian Cup against Udinese and broke his left hand. Then there were various problems with his left knee through to the end of March. From the Atalanta game onwards, Superpippo was up and down but the scope was always not to force things forward, to allow the player to recover completely, without risking another setback so he can be fit for the start of the new season. notas_de_prensa_archivo
