EVERTON: BLUES LOOK TO THE EAST

/noticias.info/ Everton have announced they have joined forces with two ambitious fellow football clubs to develop a strategic approach to the Chinese market.

Working with the highly-rated Lynx Group International Ltd, the Blues along with Bolton Wanderers and Hull City have all developed a common strategy that will help the clubs with their respective aims.

Different areas within Chine will be focused upon whilst the trio of clubs also intend to work together to develop a successful relationship with the football authorities in the Far East.

Chief Executive Keith Wyness told evertonfc.com: "As part of the whole Asian market strategy there has been developments in China. With Kejian being the previous sponsor we have connections in China and with Li Tie we've had visibility in China.

“The main thing is that we haven't had a cohesive long-term strategy and in order to do that we've started to work with the experts in the area called the Lynx Group who have connections both political and business-wise in China.

“In China it's all about creating a long-term strategy and that's a five to 10 year strategy and that's what we're starting to create now.”

In the past clubs have approached the Chinese market in a somewhat aggressive manner and that has led to some difficulties in understanding the best practices but now with the experience of the Lynx Group those problems no longer exist.

But the Blues still aim to move quickly in certain aspects of the Chinese market such as re-launching their hugely successful version of the official Everton website in Chinese.

He added: “This does not mean that things won't be happening in a very short order, we think there are some big opportunities that we hope to capitalise on quickly, but we've really got to lay the foundations for long-term relationships.

“You need people on the ground to do that and that's where we've formed the relationship that we've announced today." notas_de_prensa_archivo
