MLB: BREWERS: Thomas and big hair on tap for Retro Sunday

/noticias.info/ MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers will usher in their first "Retro Sunday" this weekend with a "Big Hair" theme and an appearance by Brewers legend Gorman Thomas.

Every Sunday home game in 2006 will bring back an '80s atmosphere to the ballpark, highlighted by the team's retro uniforms that recall the days of "Harvey's Wallbangers." The uniforms are styled with blue pinstripes and the classic "Ball-in-Glove" Brewers logo, which also appears on the game cap.

Each "Retro Sunday" will feature a different theme from the '80s. This week the Brewers are encouraging fans to get involved by sporting their best "Big Hair" styles. Scoreboard video and ballpark music from the '80s will be featured and select fans will be eligible to win prizes such as retro video games through in-park contests.

Brewers legends from the 1980s will be on hand for each Sunday game, participating in events around the ballpark. This Sunday, Gorman Thomas will be available on the concourse for autographs from the first through third innings and will participate in radio and television broadcasts on WTMJ-AM (pre-game) and FSN North.

A special 20-Game ticket package has been designed around "Retro Sundays." With the Retro Sunday Plus plan, fans receive tickets to each of the 13 Sunday afternoon home dates at Miller Park, as well as seven other games. Two of the dates in the package include all-fan giveaways. The Retro Sunday Plus ticket plan starts at just $160. notas_de_prensa_archivo
