MLB: BREWERS: Stars and Stripes Sundays at Miller Park

Free terrace level tickets offered to active and retired military personnel

/noticias.info/ MILWAUKEE -- For the second consecutive season, the Milwaukee Brewers will honor members of the United States Armed Forces through Stars and Stripes Sundays, it was announced today by Brewers Executive Vice President - Business Operations, Rick Schlesinger.

During each Sunday home game in 2006, the Brewers are offering two FREE Terrace Level tickets to active and retired military personnel.

The offer applies to all branches of the military service. Active and retired military personnel must present valid military identification which entitles them to two FREE Terrace Level tickets redeemable at windows 7-12 at Miller Park on the day of game only. This offer is based on ticket availability.

Prior to the playing of the National Anthem, "Shout Outs" from troops stationed in Iraq will be showcased on the scoreboard during each Stars and Stripes Sundays.

On one Sunday of each month, the Brewers and the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs will recognize returning veterans in the Mission Welcome Home project. The Wisconsin DVA will identify a branch of the military and its representatives for honor at Miller Park beginning on April 23. Ensuing dates include: May 14, June 4, July 30, August 19 and September 10.

Tickets for Armed Forces Night on Saturday, May 20 when the Brewers take on the Minnesota Twins at 6:05 p.m. are available through the Armed Forces Committee. Interested parties can contact Anthony Cooling at the United States Coast Guard office at 414-747-7085 for ticket information. Tickets purchased through the Coast Guard office are offered at a reduced price with a portion of the sale benefiting the Armed Forces Committee.

A special pre-game ceremony on May 20 will feature a host of military, fire, and police items on display as the Brewers team up with Milwaukee area military commands and local First Responders. notas_de_prensa_archivo
