Dubai Duty Free Chooses NCR Point-of-Sale Technology

/noticias.info/ DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Dubai Duty Free, located at Dubai International Airport and the world’s third-largest airport duty-free shop, has selected a point-of-sale (POS) solution from NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR).

Emirates Computers, an NCR RealPartner, is providing staging, integration, installation and training for the solution, as well as ongoing maintenance and support.

“We aim to deliver fast, flexible and reliable service to our customers,” said Colm McLoughlin, managing director of Dubai Duty Free. “After reviewing some of the largest manufacturers of POS solutions, we chose NCR and Emirates Computers for their advanced technical leadership and experience in finding successful retail solutions.”

The comprehensive POS solution from NCR includes 180 NCR RealPOS workstations paired with the NCR RealPOS DynaKey™ operator interface, as well as thermal receipt printers and bar-code scanners from NCR. Future plans call for the installation of an additional 200 complete NCR RealPOS units for Dubai Duty Free’s second location in the Dubai International Airport.
