Football Europe: Clément claims Brugge winner

Philippe Clément headed the only goal of the match for the Belgian First Division leaders in the eighth minute, meeting a free-kick from Nastija Ceh and powering the ball into the net. Lierse could not force their way back into the game and as a result will have to recover the one-goal deficit in the second leg next month.

Gretarsson rescue
The other semi-final between KSC Lokeren OV and KFC Germinal Beerschot Antwerp ended in a 1-1 draw. With just 13 minutes left it was Kris De Wree who opened the scoring, capping a fine counterattacking move with the finishing touch, but Arnar Grétarsson equalised for Lokeren five minutes from time. After goalkeeper Luciano da Silva saved his first effort, he made no mistake from the rebound. The second legs of both ties will be played on 11 May. notas_de_prensa_archivo
