SIEMENS: Telecontrol over the Ethernet
/noticias.info/ Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) has added Ethernet TCP/IP communication to its Sinaut telecontrol system for automated monitoring and control of remote process stations. The main application areas are the sectors water/wastewater, oil and gas, district heating systems, mining, and transport systems. The Sinaut TIM 3V-IE (Telecontrol Interface Module) is connected to a Simatic S7-300 controller in the remote process station where it coordinates transfer of the telecontrol data to and from the central control system. If the communication path to the control station is interrupted, the new product buffers up to 16,000 data frames including time stamp.
The Sinaut telecontrol software has been fully integrated into the new module. This means that even a small Simatic S7-312 or 312C controller is suitable for demanding telecontrol tasks. TIM 3V-IE also supports classic Sinaut connections via dedicated line, private wireless network, telephone, ISDN and GSM mobile wireless network. In the dial-up network, demand-oriented communication buildup saves on connection charges. Using the Sinaut configuring software and block library, users quickly and easily configure the connections and the data to be transmitted. The module and the Simatic CPU can be programmed and diagnosed remotely in parallel with data transmission. A programming device is not required when replacing modules, so this can be done simply in the course of maintenance. notas_de_prensa_archivo
