LIVERPOOL FC: REDS ARE ONE OF 74 CHAMPS LEAGUE ENTRANTS
/noticias.info/ The complete list of entrants for the 2005/06 Champions League has been finalised and it confirms Liverpool could face the prospect of a trip to some far flung destination when the first qualifying round draw takes place next week.
A total of 74 clubs will compete in this season's competition and, as UEFA decreed last Friday, the reigning European Champions will begin their defence of the trophy alongside the minnows of the continent.
That means new ground could well be broken with trips to the likes of Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Faroe Islands and Kazakhstan, for example, a distinct possibility.
Alternatively, and more ideally, they could be sent over the Irish Sea to Dublin and Belfast, or through the Mersey tunnel to Wales.
