Miami Air Recognized by Aviation Week & Space Technology Magazine
/noticias.info/ As Miami Air enters our 15th year of continuous operations it is an ideal opportunity to thank our valued customers for their loyalty and for allowing us the privilege of continuing to serve their charter needs. We were recently recognized by Aviation Week and Space Technology magazine as number two in the list of top performing small airlines. We placed higher than any other charter airline in the survey and were evaluated on operating performance, strategy and growth, and financial health. Our focus on providing unsurpassed levels of safety and customer service will remain at the core of Miami Air’s values.
Some exciting changes in our Sales and Marketing Department
We are pleased to announce that we have selected future leadership within our Sales and Marketing area. Michael Hackert has been promoted from Director of Passenger Services to Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Kevin White has been promoted from Account Executive to Director of Marketing. Both Michael and Kevin have a long history with Miami Air and bring vision and experience to the department. To maintain our presence in the field we are also proud to welcome Ngaire Duncan to our team as a Marketing Manager. On the sales side we continue to maintain a professional staff of Account Executives who respond to all quote requests within 24 hours. We are also available 24 hours a day to provide immediate response to urgent inquiries.
Update on our Passenger and Customer Service Department
Within our Passenger Services area, Miami Air continues to raise the bar by assigning all of our customers a “dedicated” customer service coordinator. By constantly refining the program to meet your needs we have advanced our ability to provide accurate coordination and timely confirmation of all operational details pertaining to your charter flight. In 2004 we implemented new standards for vendors providing ground and catering services to Miami Air and also established preferred agreements to ensure levels of service are maintained. Our direct presence in the field has also been increased as we are strategically placing additional Miami Air representation to oversee our airport operations. We will continue to deliver world class customer service in 2005 and beyond.
Our fleet of Boeing 737-800’s is growing
From an aircraft standpoint, we are proud to announce that our standard fleet transition from B727-200’s to B737-800’s is now officially complete. While the 727 has been a reliable workhorse for many years, the technical superiority of the 737 aircraft provides greater fuel efficiency and increased range while offering better passenger amenities that include various in-flight entertainment options. Our plans include the acquisition of an additional brand-new B737-800 in January 2006 for a fleet complement of six full time and three seasonal aircraft.
Executive Boeing 727-200 is available for charter
We will also continue to offer our luxury B727-200. This executive aircraft has 60 first class seats in a 3 cabin configuration. It is ideal for professional sports teams and other high profile groups. Its features include extended range fuel tanks, advanced engine performance, and a fully updated “glass” cockpit. The aircraft is well suited for worldwide operations as Miami Air’s operating specifications includes extended over water operating authority.
The 2005 Hurricane Season is upon us. Is your contingency plan up to date?
As the 2005 hurricane season is here, we would like to remind all of our customers that contingency planning is the key to ensuring minimal interruption and protection of assets should a storm threaten your operations. In 2004 we faced no less than four events that required an evacuation or relief effort that was supported by air lift. Examples of operations that were conducted by Miami Air included evacuation from the Cayman Islands for a major bank and a five star hotel. We later flew in relief crews and supplies for the same companies to rebuild or restart their business.
In South Florida area, we relocated a 24 hour shop by television network to an alternate operations center. We flew insurance adjusters to Tampa and were called upon to evacuate them in subsequent storms. We have also worked for several government agencies in support of relief efforts. Miami Air also implemented our own evacuation plan twice in 2004 and set up temporary dispatch facilities in Memphis and Raleigh Durham to ensure the integrity of our flight schedule. We are experts in operating under challenging conditions and would be happy to discuss your individual needs in advance of an emergency.
