Football Europe: Clubs reach Arnesen agreement
/noticias.info/ London rivals Tottenham Hotspur FC and Chelsea FC have reached "an agreement in principle" for compensation following the departure of Tottenham sporting director Frank Arnesen for a role at Stamford Bridge.
Arnesen suspended
Tottenham suspended the Dane on 4 June, a year after his arrival at White Hart Lane, saying the English champions had made an approach for Arnesen "prior to requesting permission and without permission from the club". They had threatened to make a complaint to the Premier League authorities, but what is reported to be a cash settlement has now been reached.
Joint statement
A joint statement released by the two clubs on Friday night read: "Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and Chelsea Football Club today announced that they have reached agreement in principle regarding Frank Arnesen. Formal documentation is to be signed by 30 June 2005. The terms are confidential and will not be disclosed." notas_de_prensa_archivo
