/noticias.info/ Former Liverpool assistant manager Phil Thompson couldn't hide his delight at seeing his beloved Reds draw Welsh side TNS in the first qualifying round of the Champions League.
Thompson said the draw couldn't have been kinder for Liverpool and says it's a fairytale tie for the Welsh team.

Thompson said: "It's a fantastic draw. Everyone connected with Liverpool will be dancing on the streets of Merseyside I can tell you that!

"TNS will be very happy and it's amazing because their chairman made Liverpool an offer to play them before we got let back in the Champions League, so it's amazing how things come about.

"They will be very welcome in Wales. If we get past TNS the Faroe Islands would be absolutely tremendous. Apparently most of the players are Liverpool fans and want to Liverpool to progress." notas_de_prensa_archivo
