PALESTINE: Sha'th; Decree to Set a Date of the Parliamentary Voting on Sunday

GAZA, Palestine, August1, 2005 (IPC+Agencies)--The Vice Prime Minister and Information Minister Dr, Nabil Sha'th announced Sunday that the president Mahmoud Abbas will issue a presidential decree, setting a date for the parliamentarian voting on Sunday to come.
Additionally, Dr. Sha'th will commission the president of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) Rawhi Fatouh to start talks with Palestinian factions on the date of the polling vote, hereby he has to inform the PLO executive committee with the outcomes of talks prior the issuance of the decree .
He also pointed out that it's expected the parliamentarian election to be run on next 20 January.
"On next Sunday the authorized committee headed by Rawhi Fatouh will finalize its talks with the factions and set forth its recommendations to the president on the date of the parliamentarian elections, that is to be signed by Abu Mazen," Sha'th told the al Ayam local daily.
On the other hand, Dr. Sha'th noted that the Palestinian demands of the anticipated Arab summit in Sharm Al Sheikh on Wednesday will focus definitely on two folds; giving a boost to the Palestinian position as regards a true and clean Israeli pullout of Gaza Strip , allowing the Palestinians to move freely , not to turn Gaza into a big prison.
As for the second demand, Sha'th said that the pullout from Gaza Strip be an integral to an Israeli stoppage of settlements, construction of the apartheid in the West Bank and end the siege and closure of Jerusalem as outlined in the road map peace plan .
Dr. Sha'th will take part in the anticipated Arab Summit along together with the president Abbas and foreign affair minister Nasser al Kidwa .
