Finnair Technical Services signs maintenance contract with Air New Zealand
/noticias.info/ Finnair Technical Services and New Zealand -based Air New Zealand have signed an over one million euro maintenance agreement for the overhaul of seven ATR72-500 aircraft's landing gear.
The maintenance work will be done at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport in 2005-2006 starting in August-September 2005. The aircraft are operated by Mount Cook Airlines, which is a regional operator belonging to Air New Zealand Group.
"The contract is a continuation of Finnair Technical Services landing gear repair department's extensive ATR customer work. Over half of the landing gear overhaul work done by this department comes from customers outside the Finnair Group," says Sales Manager Vesa Paukkeri from Finnair Technical Services.
During the past two years, the landing gear repair department's customers have included, among others, Air Tahiti from French Polynesia, Air Caledonie from New Caledonia, Xinjiang Airlines from China, Transasia Airways from Taiwan, Thai Airways from Thailand, Coast Air from Norway, Cimber Air from Denmark and Binter Canarias from Spain.
Earlier this summer Finnair Technical Services announced multi-million euro contracts for the maintenance of Boeing MD-11 and DC-10 aircraft with American Gemini Air Cargo and Dutch Martinair.
Of Finnair Technical Services' over 200 million euro turnover, approximately one third comes from maintenance contracts with third-party customers such as, in addition to the above, Aeroflot, Martinair and Lufthansa. notas_de_prensa_archivo
