MONARCH:July passenger traffic figures

/noticias.info/ Low cost airline Monarch Scheduled continues to grow rapidly as it announces a 46% increase in passenger traffic for July 2005, compared with the same period last year.

Monarch Scheduled flew 282,726 passengers* in July, compared with 193,819 in July 2004. Load factor was 80%.

July also saw the airline announce three brand new services to Malaga from Aberdeen, Blackpool and Newquay, which will start this November, as well as new flights between Manchester and Menorca commencing next March.

Monarch Scheduled operates flights to Italy, Spain, Gibraltar and Portugal from Birmingham, London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester. Fares include complimentary daily newspapers and a refreshing hot towel service; also available is a unique range of tasty hot and cold meals with prices from £2.50. Seats can be pre-booked at £5 per one-way flight to avoid the last minute free-for-all and regular travellers are rewarded too, with a range of benefits through the airline’s loyalty scheme Vantage Club.
