AIR-INDIA OPERATES ALL FLIGHTS; BUT FEW PASSENGERS
REPORT AT MUMBAI
/noticias.info/ Air-India operated 15 flights this morning to destinations in Europe, United States, Gulf, South East Asia and Africa in an effort to restore normalcy in flight operations following the re-opening of Mumbai Airport last evening.
A spokesman of Air-India said that Air-India had mounted these services as per normal schedule so that passengers affected by non-operation of flights from Mumbai airport on two days could fly to their respective destinations at the earliest and without any further inconvenience. However, it was observed that instead of their being a clamour for seats, there weren’t adequate passengers for these flights resulting in seats going unoccupied.
The spokesman said this could have been either due to passengers not being aware of air traffic, particularly Air-India flights, having been normalised at Mumbai Airport effective Thursday evening or the passengers having changed their travel plans because of their business or family life having been affected by the unprecedented rains in Mumbai.
Air-India will continue to operate all its flights as per normal schedule, the spokesman added. Passengers booked on Air-India flights can contact Air-India on Tel.Nos. 2287 6464/2287 6565 or Toll Free No. 1600 227722 regarding their travel or change in travel plans. notas_de_prensa_archivo
