Royal Air Maroc upgrades its presence in French provinces and inaugurates a new flight to Lille
/noticias.info/ In conjunction with the inauguration of the Atlas Orient in Oujda on 25 July 2005 (new hotel facility with capacity of 105 rooms belonging the Atlas Hotels chain, a subsidiary of Royal Air Maroc Group), Monsieur Mohamed BERRADA, President and General Manager of Royal Air Maroc held a working session with Mohamed IBRAHIMI, Governor of the Oriental region and Martine AUBRY mayor of the city of Lille (twinned with Oujda).
After this meeting and in cooperation with the participating parties, the national flag carrier decided to launch a new flight Casablanca-Lille as of December 2005. Three weekly flight will be scheduled during the start-up phase.
A fourth flight will be added on for the summer program of 2006.
Studies will be carried out to evaluate the potential of direct flights between Oujda and Lille for Moroccans residing abroad and the tourist clientele in France's Nord Pas-de-Calais region.
Through the investment program dealing with hotel and air transport capacity, the Royal Air Maroc Group continues in its determination to participate in the development of Morocco's Oriental region.
Since early 2005, Royal Air Maroc has opened 11 new international flights thus making it possible to broaden its network and offer customers a greater choice in destinations.
