THE NEW ROYAL AIR MAROC UNIFORM
Who wears it?
Wearing of the uniform at Royal Air Maroc concerns all personnel in direct contact with the customers. This personnel is as follows:
Cabin crew (stewards and stewardesses)
Flight crew (Flight commander, pilot)
Ground personnel (airports, Royal Air Maroc branch offices in Morocco and elsewhere)
Basic principles
" Timelessness " and functionality
The new uniform is functional (practical, easy to wear and care for) without any reference to a specific period, in other words, always in fashion. However the design is one that can evolve and allows slight modifications.
Subdued colors and packed with symbols
The color choice can vary according to 2 main criteria: the type of personnel (ground, in-flight) and the season (winter, summer).
For the cabin crew (stewardess, steward, flight commander, pilot), the basic color remains blue (shades of turquoise for summer and navy blue for winter) along with refined detail recalling the national flag, i.e. red and green.
The ground personnel (employees at airport and at sales offices) will sport the colors of Moroccan soil (maroon, ochre, light pink and ivory).
A traditional and refined Moroccan touch
Designer Claire BARRAT has opted for variants of traditional Moroccan jewellery used for attaching a part of the caftan. It is designed in the shape of an plane to join together the idea of air travel and Moroccan tradition. The entire feminine collection of the new uniform (suit, coat in shape of djellaba and on embroidered parts of blouses) is placed a " Sfifa ", or ornament based on multiple colored fibules. The scarf takes inspiration from the design of ceramic tiles.
An up-to-date and functional fabric
To provide comfort to stewardesses, stewards and pilots, fabrics with slight percentage of elasthane has been chosen to enable elasticity and wrinkle free clothing. notas_de_prensa_archivo
