UNITED:Ole Return Edges Closer
/noticias.info/ Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be ready to return to first-team action at the start of the new season, according to Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Norwegian striker has been plagued with a serious knee injury since September 2003 but, after nearly two full seasons on the sidelines, is apparently all set for an emotional comeback, despite another recent injury scare.
Sir Alex revealed: "Ole just felt his knee again recently, but it was a different part and now the swelling has gone down.
"He is now back in training and, you never know, maybe he could be fit for the start of the season."
Ole's last appearance came in the 2004 FA Cup Final win over Millwall, but the 32-year-old has remained a fans' favourite despite his absence.
A banner reading simply '20 LEGEND' has been resident in the Stretford End during Solskjaer's recuperation, and the player's name is still chanted throughout games.
And after nearly two tortuous years, Ole's eventual return is guaranteed to be an emotional occasion for player and fans alike. notas_de_prensa_archivo
