UEFA Champions League: Dudek faces lengthy lay-off

"Jerzy saw a specialist and he will be out of action for three months," a club spokesman said. Should the Polish international be out until November, he would miss much of Liverpool's UEFA Champions League defence should they overcome PFC CSKA Sofia to reach the group stage.

Reina reign
The impact on the Premiership outfit is not as great as it could have been, however, following this summer's arrival of José Manuel Reina from Villarreal CF.
