LIVERPOOL FC: RAFA UNFAZED BY HUGE EXPECTATIONS

/noticias.info/ Rafael Benitez is excited at the prospect of starting his second season in English football but realistic in his outlook when discussing the huge expectations that are being placed upon his side.
Benitez and his squad travel north this afternoon ahead of their opening Premiership clash against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday evening.

Having guided the Reds to a remarkable Champions League triumph last season the boss is well aware that the fans are expecting big things again this time around.

But while confident that he will be celebrating more success in the coming season he's not about to get carried away and make any rash predictions.

"When you look at the list of possibilities at the start of the season it's possible for us to win six trophies but we know this is an almost impossible target," says Benitez.

"The Premiership is certainly one of our top priorities and we know the fans will be expecting better from us in the league this season, that's for sure. This is good and hopefully it will spur us on.

"But we don't feel any added pressure because of this. We prefer not to talk about what we'd like to do. We will just give it our best and take each game as it comes." notas_de_prensa_archivo
