EVERTON: MOYES' SQUAD BOOST

/noticias.info/ David Moyes remains hopeful he will have the majority of his squad fit and available for Saturday’s game with Manchester United.

The Blues Boss has already resigned himself to the fact that he will be without Gary Naysmith and Lee Carsley who are now recovering from long-term injuries.

Naysmith is still working his way back from knee surgery that took place over the summer whilst Carsley is targeting the beginning of next month to make a comeback from a medial ligament problem.

There have been other bumps and bruises reported following the game against Villarreal on Tuesday, though Moyes is confident it wont keep anyone out.

Moyes, who will hand former United star Phil Neville his Blues Premiership debut, said: "Squad-wise I am hoping everybody will be available.

“We had a few knocks from Tuesday, with Mikel Arteta, Tim Cahill and Duncan Ferguson requiring treatment, but I expect everybody to be available."

Denmark international Per Kroldrup, meanwhile, is involved in the squad despite news that he will require surgery on a groin problem.

Moyes added: "Per looks as if he needs a hernia operation. That may happen in a weeks time, it may happen in four weeks time.

“We are hoping he can help us through the heavy schedule we have coming up.”

Louis Saha is Sir Alex Ferguson's only injury absentee as they attempt to avenge last season’s 1-0 defeat at Goodison Park.

Saha has been sidelined with the latest in a succession of knee injuries but Wes Brown, Quinton Fortune and Ryan Giggs have all recovered from the minor problems, which kept them out of Tuesday's Champions League win over Debrecen.

Ferguson may opt to field an unchanged line-up, although new signing Park Ji-Sung is pushing for a debut.

Everton from: Martyn, Kroldrup, Yobo, Weir, Arteta, Bent, Beattie, Ferguson, Davies, McFadden, Li Tie, Kilbane, Cahill, Neville, Osman, Hibbert, Pistone, Vaughan.

United from: Van der Sar, Howard, G Neville, Ferdinand, Brown, Silvestre, Fortune, Heinze, O'Shea, Fletcher, Fortune, Ronaldo, Keane, Park, Scholes, Giggs, Miller, van Nistelrooy, Smith, Rooney. notas_de_prensa_archivo
