CHELSEA FC: Team News: Wigan vs Chelsea

/noticias.info/ Chelsea are unchanged from the team that won the Community Shield with just some switching on the bench. Wigan, however, have problems.

Nathan Ellington, on his way to West Bromwich Albion, is left out, and goalscoring midfielder Lee McCulloch is injured. So too is goalkeeper John Filan who in 1999 had a Stamford Bridge blinder for soon to be relegated Blackburn which earned a draw and helped prevent Chelsea from winning the Championship.

Emerson Thome and Graham Kavanagah are another out of contention with injury. The surprise is that new signing Arjen De Zeeuw goes straight into the team as captain ahead of central defender and captain Matt Jackson.
