EVERTON FC : BEATTIE'S INJURY WAIT
/noticias.info/ Everton will be forced to wait to discover the extent of James Beattie’s latest injury.
The Blues forward fell awkwardly on his foot early in the first half of Saturday’s 0-2 defeat to Manchester United and was replaced soon after by Marcus Bent.
Beattie has already been visited by the club’s surgeon and the news emanating from the dressing room is that the problem is not serious.
But the medical team will not make a full diagnosis until the problem has settled down and will give the 26-year-old 24-48 hours.
Head Physio Mick Rathbone told evertonfc.com: “He went over on his toe. I think he clashed with Leon Osman and he is in a great deal of discomfort obviously.
“The orthopaedic surgeon came in to have a look and clinically we don’t think there is anything massively serious.
“But we are going to let it settle over the next 24 hours and then review it to see whether he needs an x-ray or not.
“At the moment though we don’t think it is too bad but we will wait and see.” notas_de_prensa_archivo
