Delta Offers Customers New Service between Salt Lake City and Columbus, Ohio, Indianapolis

Delta Connection carrier Shuttle America to operate Embraer 170 on new routes

/noticias.info/ ATLANTA, Aug. 15, 2005 – This fall Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) will offer customers in Indiana and Ohio several common bonds with customers in Utah: the only non-stop, roundtrip jet service between their respective state capitals, plus the opportunity to experience the newest concept in commercial air transportation. Beginning Oct. 15, new Delta Connection carrier Shuttle America will operate two daily non-stop flights between Salt Lake City and Columbus, Ohio, and two daily non-stop flights between Salt Lake City and Indianapolis. Shuttle America will operate the new service with the latest addition to the Delta Connection carrier fleet -- the new two-cabin, 70-seat Embraer 170 jet aircraft.
To celebrate the new links between the three capitals, Delta is offering customers special low introductory fares. Customers should hurry, because tickets must be purchased by Sept. 16, 2005, for travel between Oct. 15 and Nov. 22, 2005.

On Sept. 1, Shuttle America will debut the new E-170 as it begins three daily non-stop, roundtrip flights between Salt Lake City and Detroit, and a daily non-stop, roundtrip flight between Cincinnati and Detroit.
“We welcome the opportunities for longer-range service and the new standard of comfort that Delta customers will enjoy on the Embraer 170,” said J.T. Fisher, president and CEO-Delta Connection, Inc.
The Embraer 170’s unique cross section provides superior passenger comfort in the form of a larger cabin with maximized cabin width at shoulder level, a wider aisle, larger seats, higher baggage capacity, improved personal space and increased leg room. The aircraft in the Delta Connection configuration will feature 70 seats: a six-seat first-class cabin that offers customers two-and-one seating, and a coach cabin with 64 seats in a two-by-two configuration.

Tickets: Fares shown are one way. Roundtrip purchase is required. Tickets must be purchased at least 14 days before departure but no later than Sept. 16, 2005. See delta.com for online ticket purchase requirements and restrictions. Travel Period: Travel may begin on or after Oct. 15, 2005, and must be completed by Nov. 22, 2005. Blackout Dates: None. Fare Validity: Fares are valid in the Economy (Coach) cabin on Delta, Delta Connection carriers and Song flights. All travel between Columbus, OH/Indianapolis, IN and Salt Lake City, UT must be on nonstop flights operated by Delta Connection carrier Shuttle America. Minimum Stay: One night. Maximum Stay: Nov. 22, 2005. Cancellations/Refunds/Changes: Fares are nonrefundable. Delta may permit you to apply a portion of the fare value to future travel upon payment of applicable fees and fare difference; otherwise the ticket will have no value. Delta may allow you to cancel certain tickets until midnight of the day after purchase (or midnight of the departure date of the first flight, whichever comes first) without penalty if purchased at the time of reservation directly from Delta.
