MALAYSIA AIRLINES FLIGHT OPERATIONS AND HAZE SITUATION

/noticias.info/ Malaysia Airlines’ flight operations in Malaysia, in particular at Penang, Langkawi, Alor Star and Kota Bahru that were slightly disrupted in the evening of 13 August 2005 due to haze occurrence, are now back to normal since yesterday.

Likewise, the national airline’s flight operations from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to the above destinations have also normalised.

As at 1600 hours today, (Malaysian local time), there has been no cancellation, retiming or diversions of Malaysia Airlines’ scheduled flights between KLIA and Penang, Langkawi, Alor Star and Kota Bahru.

The haze has been clearing considerably over the last 24 hours and Malaysia Airlines is continuing to work closely with the regulatory authorities and Tourism Malaysia to monitor the haze situation. Where necessary, Malaysia Airlines will provide customers further updates to assist them in planning their air travel.
