UEFA Cup: Midtjylland get their man early

/noticias.info/ FC Midtjylland have signed "one of the great talents in Danish football" following Simon Poulsen's arrival from Superliga newcomers SønderjyskE on a three-and-a-half year contract.

'Top player'
The 21-year-old Danish youth international was due to sign on 1 January but Midtjylland were keen to bring the deal forward due to their involvement in the UEFA Cup. "In Simon we have got ourselves a top left-sided player," said sports director Jens Ørgaard. As compensation, Midtjylland midfielder Thomas Rathe has gone in the opposite direction on loan for the season.

Demba arrival
Meanwhile, their Superliga rivals Esbjerg fB have reinforced their forward line by signing a four-year contract with striker Nyren Njogu Demba from Greek club Panathinaikos FC. "Demba is big, strong in the air, he has a fine right foot shot, and he is fast and physically strong," said Esbjerg coach Ove Pedersen.
