NCOIC Adds Exports Compliance Director

/noticias.info/ Washington, DC, August 16, 2005 –- Continuing its commitment to an industry-wide technical approach to network centric operations (NCO), the Network Centric Operations Industry Consortium (NCOIC) has named Ginger Carney as NCOIC Director for Export Compliance. Ms. Carney has more than 20 years of experience in export licensing and compliance.

“The NCOIC is examining open, commercially available technologies and standards, and will leverage these to the common benefit everyone, but most immediately the warfighter,” said Carl O’Berry, Executive Chairman of the NCOIC. “The addition of the Director for Export Compliance will ensure that the NCOIC continues to follow all foreign and domestic export guidelines and regulations, enabling NCOIC members to continue engaging in substantive technical discussions.”

For the past year, Carney has been leading the NCOIC’s working team on export compliance as one of the manpower resources provided by BAE Systems, a member of the NCOIC. At BAE Systems, she was also Senior Manager of International Trade Compliance, responsible for export compliance audits and training for all U.S-based facilities of BAE Systems. She previously held positions of increasing responsibility with Northrop Grumman, Smiths Aerospace and Boeing, working jointly with the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Commerce. Carney has also served as a civilian employee in the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the U.S. Department of Defense, and was one of the first employees of the Defense Technology Security Administration (DTSA) upon its formation in 1983.
