easyJet seeks NEW charity partner
/noticias.info/ easyJet, Europe's leading low cost airline, is seeking a pan-European charity to be its charity of the year from November 2005 to October 2006. The successful charity will receive a corporate donation of £50,000 and will benefit from staff fundraising activity as well as access to the airlines 28 million passengers a year.
What we're looking for:
A pan-European charity to reflect the airline's ever growing European network.
A charity that can mirror the fundamentals of the airline’s brand values - fun, unique, pushing boundaries, breaking with tradition.
A productive relationship to assist the airline with the development of its policies.
Support for PR events, internal and external fundraising and to be proactive in their approach.
How to apply:
In no more than 400 words prospective charities should describe why they believe they should be easyJet’s charity of the year 2005/06 and how they would publicise the partnership. Applications should be emailed to charities@easyJet.com by 1 September 2005.
The next step:
The submissions will be reviewed, and a handful of charities will be asked to submit by email a short proposal (in word, Powerpoint or similar) on how we would work together, ideas for publicising the arrangement, a 12-month programme, what would be expected of easyJet etc and anything else that you feel will be relevant. This will be followed by a presentation to the easyJet Charity Committee who will further reduce the applications to three charities, which will then be put to a company-wide vote. A decision will be made by the end of September.
easyJet is currently supporting the National Society for Epilepsy and it is the airline’s 2nd year of recognising a “charity of the year”, its first partnership was with Wizz-Kidz, the children's mobility charity for which the airline raised over £345,000. Prior to this, easyJet supported charities on an ad-hoc basis before supporting Cancer Research UK's Breast Cancer Awareness month in October 2003 raising almost £250,000 for the Cancer charity through on-board collections. notas_de_prensa_archivo
