ANA Ties up with StarFlyer
- Co-operation agreement signed between ANA and Kitakyushu’s new start up airline -
/noticias.info/ TOKYO August 17, 2005 - ANA and StarFlyer, a new entrant to the Japanese aviation market due to start operations in March next year, have signed a co-operation agreement by which ANA will provide support to StarFlyer in the start up stage, and also after operations have commenced.
StarFlyer is based in the city of Kitakyushu, in the southernmost of Japan’s four main islands. Its first flight will take place with the opening of Kitakyushu’s new airport in March, 2006.
Support will take the form of:
1) Training for pilots, cabin crew and engineers, as well as use of ANA training facilities
2) Seconded pilots, including inspection personnel
3) Maintenance, including parts supply
4) Sales, including use of the ANA Computer Reservation System and accounting systems
5) Other areas, eg, purchasing, etc
