EVERTON: VAUGHANY GETS CALL-UP

/noticias.info/ James Vaughan has been handed an early season boost with a call-up to England’s under-19 squad.

The Everton striker, who recently turned 17, has been promoted after an excellent debut tournament last season with England’s under-17 squad.

Coach Martin Hunter has named a travelling party of 23 who will face Belgium in a friendly at Darlington’s Neasham Road stadium on September 6.

Hunter said: "We are looking to build on the work that has been put in over the past few years at all levels in the England youth set-up.

“Our goal, as ever is to reach the UEFA Finals. Things have gone well recently and we are ranked number one in Europe."

Vaughan’s inclusion means he will miss the Blues reserve game with Bolton Wanderers that takes place 24 hours earlier on September 5. notas_de_prensa_archivo
