CHELSEA FC : Kerry's weekend tips
/noticias.info/ “Our best chance to beat them in the league in ten years. Put your money on the win.” That is the advice of Chelsea’s resident tipster Kerry Dixon as he looks forward to the arrival of Arsenal.
“Some of you may remember that I nearly always recommend a draw when these two sides meet but we have just started to put together a little run against Arsenal which has included the Champions League win at Highbury and then the 2-1 win at Cardiff two weeks ago.
“I’m putting down the non-performance at Wigan as a one-off and everything looks primed for Chelsea to triumph in the Premiership for the first time since September 1995.
“I suppose I better mention my bets against Wigan briefly. I didn’t expect Chelsea to play so badly but then neither did the whole world! I was proved right about the clean sheet but I did expect us to add at least a second goal. So I begin the second game of the season £20 down.
“Chelsea are 5/6 to win on Sunday with the draw 11/5 and Arsenal 11/4. You have to say that Chelsea odds-on to beat Arsenal is a pretty remarkable sign of the times.
“Better value awaits in the half-time/full-time odds. Chelsea/Chelsea is 2/1 and draw/Chelsea 7/2. I’m having a tenner on the second of those results — Chelsea to take it in the second-half.
“For once I am not backing the clean-sheet. I normally look for scores like 1-1 and 2-2 in this game, both sides normally find the net, last season’s 0-0 excluded. So this time I’m going for a repeat of the Community Shield score — a tenner on 2-1 at 7/1.
“It is a little tough to predict whether Crespo or Drogba will lead the attack after the events of the last two games when both have had their moments.
“Crespo is 9/2 favourite to score the first goal with Drogba 5/1.
“Some other first scorer odds are Lampard 7/1, Robben and Gudjohnsen 8/1, Wright-Phillips 9/1 and Terry 20/1.”
