PGA : Soo-Yun Kang claims Safeway Classic lead

/noticias.info/ Korea's Soo-Yun Kang scored four long birdie putts to take the lead in the $1.4 million Safeway Classic on Saturday.

Kang completed the second round with a four-under-par 68 that gave her a three-shot lead at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club. She also had an eagle from the fairway on the par-four 15th hole, bouncing in an eight-iron from 136 yards. That helped overcome three bogeys in a somewhat erratic round that still has her 18 holes from her first career LPGA Tour win.

At 12-under 132, Kang is three strokes in front of compatriots Gloria Park and Jeong Jang. "I'm fine for this," Kang said. "I make a lot of wins in Korea. So it doesn't matter if I'm the leader or not, I can sleep very well."
