PALESTINE: Israeli Settlers Attack a French Delegation in Hebron

HEBRON, Palestine, August 21, 2005 (IPC+Agencies) ---A mob of Jewish settlers, from the illegal settlement "Abraham Abeino, in the Old town of Hebron, attacked a solidarity French delegation.


Palestinian security sources reported that a French delegation of six activists were liable to attack by the settlers while they were wandering in the neighborhoods of the old city.

The sources also added that the French delegate sough a shelter in the house of Niddal Al Awei but the settlers attacked the house and keep hurdling stones and glass bottles amidst anti-Arab slogans.

Meanwhile, the family of the resident Mohammed Abu Eisha , whose house just some meters away of the illegal settlement block Ramat Yashy" bore a witnesses of an attack by more than 30 settlers , in which four members of the family were violently beaten .

They were identified as Mohammed Abu Eisha, Taysser Abu Eisha, and his town sons Mohammed and Raja'

The Israeli occupation forces arrested three residents in Qulqelia district of the West bank.

IPC correspondent reported that Israeli troops Saturday overnight arrested Kefar Shawahnna, 27, from Kafr Thulth , east Qulqelia at " Ebyia" military checkpoint .

Two other resident were arrested Baker Abed al Raouf Khaled ,21, from Jeoss , north east of Qulqelia at the gate of the town and Ayssam Ahmed,24, from Azoun Atmma, south east of Qulqelia at the gate of the town.

A fourth resident was arrested at a flying military checkpoint by the Israeli troops, north of Tobass city.

A security sources said that an Israeli occupation troop positioned at the checkpoint at the main linking Akaba town with al kafeer village, arrested a resident, who was traveling on the road notas_de_prensa_archivo
