UEFA Champions League: United numbed by Neville loss
/noticias.info/ England defender Gary Neville could be out for up to five weeks after tearing a groin muscle in Manchester United FC's UEFA Champions League third qualifying round second-leg victory against Debreceni VSC.
Ferguson resigned
The 30-year-old limped off 13 minutes into the 3-0 win in Hungary and United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said the right-back would be missing for "four to five weeks". That would rule Neville out of Matchday 1, and leaves him doubtful for the second round of fixtures.
England loss
The news will also be a blow to the plans of national manager Sven-Gorän Eriksson, with England just days away from a FIFA World Cup qualifying double-header. England, who lost 4-1 against Denmark in a friendly last week, face Wales in Cardiff on 3 September before traveling to Belfast to meet Northern Ireland four days later as they close in on a berth in the finals in Germany next summer. notas_de_prensa_archivo
