FOOTBALL EUROPE: Andorra set for autumn kick-off

/noticias.info/ The Andorran Football Federation (FAF) has decided that the new season will kick off on 25 September.

Dates set
The eight teams participating in the 2005/06 First Division - UE Sant Julià, FC Santa Coloma, Atlètic Club d'Escaldes, FC Ranger's, CE Principat, Inter Club d'Escaldes, FC Lusitans and promoted UE Extremenya - will start their fixtures a week after champions Sant Julià play cup holders Santa Coloma in the Andorran Super Cup on 18 September.

Elections due
The clubs have still to decide whether they will take a mid-season break in January and February to avoid weather conditions hampering players. However, FAF elections will be held on 5 September, with chairman Francesc Amat having confirmed he will stand for a second term.
