UEFA CUP: Levski lose striker Jaiyeoba

/noticias.info/ PFC Levski Sofia striker Ekundayo Jaiyeoba will be sidelined for at least six months after suffering an achilles injury as his side reached the UEFA Cup first round last night.

Bittersweet victory
The 25-year-old was taken off 30 minutes into the 3-0 victory against Slovenian team NK Publikum that secured a 3-1 aggregate win in the second qualifying round. Having hurt his left achilles, he will now miss the first round on 15 and 29 September, and should Levski progresss, the whole group stage.

'Huge blow'
"Jaiyeoba's injury is a huge blow for us," said Levski coach Stanimir Stoilov. "We must find a replacement as quickly as possible." The first-round draw is at 13.00CET in Monaco. notas_de_prensa_archivo
