VLM Airlines welcomes the 1.000.000th passenger on Rotterdam - London City route

Rotterdam, 25th August 2005 - Today London City Airport welcomed the 1.000.000th passenger on the Rotterdam - London City route.

/noticias.info/ When launching the Rotterdam-London City connection, 11 years ago, VLM Airlines was aware of the business potential this route had to offer. VLM Airlines currently offers 8 daily return flights between Rotterdam and London City, giving business passengers ample choice and flexibility when travelling between these two cities.

Both Rotterdam Airport and London City Airport are primary examples of the time efficient, fast and business oriented airports VLM Airlines flies to. Both offer ample parking facilities and very short check-in times (15 minutes at London City Airport and 20 minutes at Rotterdam Airport). It has always been the philosophy of VLM Airlines to fly to regional business airports such as Rotterdam and London City Airport, because of the proximity to the city, the ease of access and the hassle free experience these airports offer passengers.

In the first 6 months of this year VLM Airlines has already transported 56.520 customers on this route, an increase of 16% compared to the same period last year.

The 1.000.000th passenger on this route was Mr. van der Klei, an Executive Account Director with the company AON. He was welcomed by William Vet, Regional Manager for the Netherlands of VLM Airlines. Mr. van der Klei stated: "I'm very honoured to be the millionth passenger on this route. I live in Breda in the North of The Netherlands, and the time it takes me to get to the AON office in London via Rotterdam Airport, is the same time as it takes me to get to our office in Amsterdam, and it's a lot less stressful too!".
