CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Artmedia add Czech duo

/noticias.info/ FC Artmedia Bratislava have strengthened for their maiden UEFA Champions League challenge with Czech players Aleš Urbánek and Lukáš Hartig.

Sparta experience
The Slovakian champions have acquired the 25-year-old midfielder Urbánek from FC Spartak Moskva while forward Hartig, 28, has switched from FC Zenit St. Petersburg. Both players have previously represented AC Sparta Praha in Europe's premier club competition. Urbánek featured for the Czech side in all six group-stage games during a loan spell last season and Hartig made eight appearances in the 2001/02 campaign.

Terms agreed
Artmedia general manager Petr Kašpar confirmed that terms had been agreed with both players and their Russian clubs, with just some minor details left to resolve. Urbánek is set to sign on loan and Hartig on a three-year contract. Artmedia reached the group stage by coming through all three qualification rounds and will begin the competition proper with a home match against FC Internazionale Milano on 13 September. notas_de_prensa_archivo
