EVERTON : BILL BOOST FOR MOYES

/noticias.info/ Bill Kenwright has revealed that he will use everything in his armoury to lift his manager ahead of Monday night’s difficult visit to Arsenal.

The Everton Chairman spent Thursday’s flight back to Liverpool from Bucharest deep in conversation with Blues Boss David Moyes, who is still reeling from the 5-1 Dinamo Bucharest defeat.

Kenwright now knows it is up to him to remind last season’s manager of the year of some of his Goodison achievements as Moyes himself bids to do the same with his players.

"It is David's job to lift the players and it is my job to lift his," said Kenwright. "We are good friends and if I have to help him then that is what I will do.

"At the time being, it is all about broken dreams but we will get on with the job of rebuilding. You have got to remember where this club was at this time last year. We have talked about it and David is very down but you would expect that."

Everton have endured a hugely disappointing start to their season considering the form of last year but Kenwright is insisting there's plenty of time for a reversal in fortunes.

"We are Everton and we will bounce back," Kenwright vowed. "It was never going to be an easy season after what we did last year. But when I look at where this club was 12 months ago, it is a measure of how far we have come under the manager.

"It is still early days. We have only played four Premiership games. It says something of how far we have come that we have played in the Champions League this season and have played in the UEFA Cup, too."

Few will give Everton a chance or over-hauling that 5-1 deficit against Bucharest at Goodison Park on Thursday week but Kenwright, ever the optimist, says his club will not go without a fight. He added: "It's not over yet."
