INTER: STANKOVIC: "CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TEAM"

/noticias.info/ MILAN - Dejan Stankovic couldn't hide his joy after scoring Inter's second goal in Saturday's 3-0 win at home to Lecce - his first for the Nerazzurri since last November and first at the San Siro in thirteen months. "We all did well this evening, everything worked well and I want to congratulate the team," he said.

"My goal? I didn't hit the ball well, perhaps that's why I scored... I had been shooting well for a while and hitting posts or crossbars or bringing great saves out of goalkeepers. I'm very happy because I hadn't scored here at the Meazza for many months.

"Now I have to work calmly. I started off like a thunderbolt last season then faded.

"My position on the pitch? If I'm in form I can play anywhere. We know each other better now and we know what the coach wants from us, so certain things come naturally. We have to keep our feet on the ground and work hard."
