FIBA: NGR - NBBF board met Thursday to determine league date

/noticias.info/ LAGOS (National Federation) - The board of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF will hold a crucial board meeting on Thursday where issues bordering on the hosting of the FIBA Africa Championship for Women 2005 billed for December 21 through 29, 2005 topped the agenda.

The Thursday will also look at the proposed jump-ball date of the premier league which is expected to dunk-off in November this year, according to the board head of media and publicity committee, Tijjani Umar.

The board will also appraise the game in the outgoing year and fashion out a concrete plan for the successful hosting of the AWC, camping ahead the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

The Nigeria basketball house mouthpiece said that the federation will use the occasion of the meeting to look into the list of female players penciled down for camping ahead the December assignment which is FIBA World Championship for Women 2006, the assigning of coaches for the various national teams senior men and women and the female under 18 team respectively.
