CHELSEA FC: I'm dreaming of a Blue and White Christmas

/noticias.info/ As part of their two year charity partnership, Chelsea FC and CLIC Sargent - the UK’s leading children’s cancer charity - are offering young Chelsea fans the opportunity of a lifetime — the chance to design Chelsea FC’s official 2005 Christmas cards.

A competition has been launched to find the best design, as judged by four of the Chelsea players and manager José Mourinho.

You can paint or draw anything you like so long as it has either a Chelsea or Christmas theme. An eye catching goal perhaps, a fantastic celebration or perhaps something from your own imagination!

Open to anyone under the age of 21, designs will be judged in three categories: ages 0-8 years, 9-14 years, and 15-21 years. A winner from each category will be chosen. All three designs will then be made into Christmas cards, to be sold in the Chelsea Megastore, and used by the Club as its official 2005 cards.

Competition winners and their families will be treated to a day out at the Chelsea v Wigan match at Stamford Bridge on 10 December 2005. They will also be presented with a signed, framed copy of their artwork. The 3 runners up will also receive a prize.

Proceeds from the sale of cards in the Megastore will be donated to CLIC Sargent to help fund its work with children and young people, and their families, affected by cancer and leukaemia.

Chelsea FC announced its two year charity partnership with CLIC Sargent in April 2005. Speaking about the relationship, Chelsea FC first team coach and manager, José Mourinho said: “I believe that football can be a force for good in so many ways and this partnership will be a great example of that. It is always humbling, and moving, to see the bravery of those children and their families who battle against serious illness. Myself and the players are committed to making that a successful battle and helping as many families as we can.”

Entries, which should be no larger than A4, should be sent to: Chelsea Christmas Card Competition, Stamford Bridge, Fulham Road, London, SW6 1HS. The competition closes on Thursday 27 October. notas_de_prensa_archivo
