CHELSEA FC: Damien Duff undergoes surgery
/noticias.info/ Damien Duff underwent routine arthroscopic knee surgery last night, Monday, as a result of the injury he suffered playing for Ireland in Cyprus on Saturday.
The surgery to mend his cartilage injury was successful and he was back at the training ground today, Tuesday.
The winger had a scan on his knee whilst still with Ireland on Sunday, and returned to Chelsea on Monday when he had another scan.
He has appeared in all of Chelsea’s 11 games so far this season, starting nine and being a substitute in the other two.
Reserve team captain Danny Hollands has also been in surgery. He went to Germany to undergo a groin operation on Friday, and on Monday evening was already back in England and at Aldershot to see the reserves draw with West Ham. He started running today. notas_de_prensa_archivo
